TLDR: My name is George and I have 7 years of Graphic / Visual Design experience and 3+ years of Product/ UXUI experience.


Full Story: Hey there! I'm George Chi, a Product Designer , and an artist at heart. I've made art since childhood, but my design journey began in high school, when my art teacher recommended me to try out graphic design. Though I was obsessed with technology, my initial thought was, "that class is for nerds!" (ironic for a kid who made comics and watched anime) …fast forward some years and I was graduating with a degree in Graphic Design at NAU 😂. After 4 years of working in the field, I was feeling a bit unfulfilled with just pixel pushing ; My pivotal moment that led to the transition from Graphic Design to UXUI, came when video chatting with my 101-year-old grandmother in Cameroon, witnessing firsthand the transformative power of technology to connect and enhance lives globally. I thought "someone was responsible for designing this!". I knew I wanted to do more with my skills and my career , & to be able to connect and impact lives. I went back to studying, and broke into the UX design field, where I have been working ever since.

Through my years within the design field, I've worked in fast-paced agency settings and corporate environments, leading my own initiatives from concept to finished products in both B2B and B2C sectors. I truly believe in being a lifelong student and I'm continuously furthering my skills.
